No-Bake Mint Chocolate Flake Pie

Once I had whipped upward that no-bake chocolate bar pie, I precisely had to attempt it out amongst another experiments...

... because that's precisely what I do!

So I turned to the grocery store candy aisle for inspiration.  Yup, I walked upward together with downwardly the candy aisle squall for myself, "What tin displace I melt into a pie next?!?"  I'm certain people were giving me foreign looks because I was lingering inwards forepart of candy shelves for what in all likelihood seemed similar a ridiculously long time.

But I was thinking.  And creating ... inwards my mind.

I accept many experimental ideas I'd similar to attempt amongst this method.  But I landed offset on Andes Creme de Menthe Thins.  "Mmmm, hmmmm," I thought, "these volition melt upward perfectly!"

And they did.

Absolutely perfectly to exercise this delectable No-Bake Mint Chocolate Chip Pie.

I threw inwards a teeny chip of mini chocolate chips for or together with then texture.  I similar the chip of compaction they give.  But if you'd prefer a completely creamy pie, you lot could precisely piece of employment out them out.

No-Bake Mint Chocolate Chip Pie

Source:  A Tracey original, inspired past times No-Bake Hershey's Chocolate Bar Pie
Ingredients

• 1 (9-inch) chocolate crumb pie crust (such equally Oreo pie crust)
• 1 1/2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip whipped topping (12 oz. total)
• 1 (4.67 oz.) bundle Andes Creme de Menthe thins
• 1/2 c. mini chocolate chips
• 2 T. mini chocolate chips, for garnishing move on of pie

Directions

1. Unwrap Andes Creme de Menthe thins (reserving iv to garnish the pie, if desired) together with house inwards a small-scale saucepan over medium-low heat. Heat, stirring constantly, until melted together with smooth. Remove from oestrus together with cool for ii minutes.
2. Fold melted creme de menthe candies into the Cool Whip until good combined. Stir inwards the 1/2 loving cup mini chocolate chips.  Spoon into crust.
3. Sprinkle amongst the 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips.  Break the reserved Andes Creme de Menthe thins inwards one-half together with stick the halves into the pie along the outer border to garnish, if desired.  Cover together with refrigerate over night, or until set.
