'Gettin' Figgy Amongst It' Fig Pizza


My recent bounty of fresh figs is serving upwards to a greater extent than or less delicious treats inwards our kitchen.  First, marinated fig salad, as well as at 1 time ... fig pizza!  This pizza was hence good, Mark created 3 novel words to depict it.

Yup, he described this pizza every bit figtitious, figilicious, as well as figtastic.  That's pretty high praise ... I think.  But let's plough to Mark's definitions to brand sure.

Figtitious - So skillful it can't move real.  (Like 'fictitious' ... instruct it?)

Figilicious - Figs that are super delicious.

Figtastic - Fantastic figs.

I'd tell yes, that's high praise.  Wouldn't you?

And patently Mark is inwards a creative mood ... 'cause he merely said the championship of this post service needed to move 'Gettin' Figgy With It.'  Okay.  I'm skillful alongside going alongside his creative juices tonight.

To instruct started on this figtitious, figilicious, figtastic fig pizza, get together upwards to a greater extent than or less gorgeous fresh figs as well as land them inwards half.




Then land a scarlet onion into rings, flavor the rings alongside common salt as well as pepper, ...


... as well as saute them upwards inwards a picayune olive oil.


Then get together upwards to a greater extent than or less fresh rosemary.



Top pizza dough alongside a uncomplicated drizzling of olive oil, hence adjust the onions as well as figs on top, as well as sprinkle alongside a flake of fresh rosemary.

Fig Pizza

Ingredients
Pizza dough (homemade* or store-bought dough ball)
1 medium scarlet onion, sliced inwards rings
Salt & pepper
Extra virgin olive oil
sixteen or hence fresh figs, halved
About 1 T. fresh rosemary leaves
8 oz. caprine animal cheese, crumbled or fresh mozzarella, sliced


Directions
1.  Sprinkle onion rings alongside a picayune common salt as well as pepper.  Heat almost a tablespoon of olive stone oil inwards a saute pan; saute onions until tender, almost 3 to iv minutes per side.

2.  Roll pizza dough out to desired size; identify on preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.

3.  Spread a sparse layer of olive stone oil over the pizza dough.  Arrange onions as well as figs on hap of the crust, sprinkle alongside rosemary, and then top alongside cheese.

4.   Bake at 425 degrees for almost 15-20 minutes, or until crust is cooked through as well as cheese is merely firstly to brown.
