Ingredients
two c. milk (I work whole milk, but whatsoever 'slimmer' diversity is fine too)
3/4 c. chicken broth
1 modest onion, finely chopped
1 c. quick-cooking grits
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
two T. butter
four oz. cream cheese (less fatty Neufchatel-type is fine)
1 or two T. chopped fresh chives (you tin also work dried)
iii T. fresh parsley or 1 T. dried parsley
1 T. lemon juice
1 egg
two c. chopped ham
Directions
1. Bring milk, chicken broth, too chopped onion to a boil inwards a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Gradually add together grits too tabular array salt to pan, stirring constantly amongst a whisk. Cook v minutes or until thick, stirring constantly.
2. Remove grits from heat. Stir inwards cheddar, butter, too cream cheese until melted; thus stir inwards remaining ingredients.
3. Spoon grits mixture into a 11x7" baking dish generously coated amongst cooking spray. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes, or until laid upwards too the top is simply starting to larn to a greater extent than or less golden dark-brown areas.
